What is Circuit Card Assembly (CCA)

Circuit card assembly (CCA) is a term that describes the process of assembling electronic components onto a printed circuit board (PCB). CCAs are essential in transforming a bare PCB into a functional electronic unit by soldering or attaching various components onto the board.

During the CCA process, electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, connectors, and other necessary parts are installed onto the PCB. This can be achieved using techniques like surface mount technology (SMT) or through-hole technology (THT). The components are carefully placed and soldered onto the PCB to establish proper electrical connections.

The purpose of CCA is to create a fully functional electronic circuit by ensuring the proper integration and interconnection of the components on the PCB. This process plays a crucial role in the PCB industry as it allows for the efficient and accurate production of complex PCB designs.
